Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Sims could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Sylvan Glades changed hands for GBP 293.75 (€ 474.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Sims achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Elysium in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 53,428.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Sims konnte im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Sylvan Glades für GBP 293,75 (€ 474,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Sims erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Elysium im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 53.428,51).
