The work Portrait of Jean Harlow by Charles Gates Sheldon was sold in the American Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,952.30). With this result, Portrait of Jean Harlow is even the most expensive work of art by Charles Gates Sheldon that we have observed at auctions so far.
