Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Study of a young boy by Charles Keene was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in June 2008. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 600.00 (€ 758.42), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Keene - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Cockney Boy; And A Coachman, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,083.66).

Die Arbeit Study of a young boy von Charles Keene wurde im Juni 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 600,00 (€ 758,42) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Keene mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Cockney Boy; And A Coachman beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.083,66) versteigert wurde.
