Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 360.00 (€ 534.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Keene - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Cockney Boy; And A Coachman, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,083.66).
