A top price for Charles Robertson, R.W.S. - as previously expected
In October 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Orientalist Art, which included the work The Street of the Ghoreeyah, Cairo by Charles Robertson, R.W.S.. The price achieved of GBP 150,062.50 (€ 166,631.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Street of the Ghoreeyah, Cairo is the most expensive artwork by Charles Robertson, R.W.S. that we have observed at auctions so far.
