Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Interior of The Imagination by Charles Oakley was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,152.90). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Oakley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Interior, which sold at auction in July last year for GBP 5,355.00 (€ 6,394.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Interior of The Imagination von Charles Oakley kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.152,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Oakley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Interior beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für GBP 5.355,00 (€ 6.394,82) versteigert wurde.
