In the The Country House Sale - Property of the 14th Earl of Kintore & The Collection of the Late Bernard Lyons, C.B.E. auction, the work Portrait of Algernon Hawkins Thomand Keith-Falconer, 9th Earl of Kintore (1852-1930), half-length, dressed in uniform sold for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,043.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Napier Kennedy; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The artist's studio sold at auction in September 2008 with the realized price of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,109.30).
