Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The shrimper's return by Charles Napier Hemy was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 12,800.00 (€ 14,697.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Napier Hemy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Riverside, Limehouse in April this year with an auction result of GBP 69,600.00 (€ 79,321.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The shrimper's return von Charles Napier Hemy kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.800,00 (€ 14.697,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Napier Hemy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Riverside, Limehouse im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.600,00 (€ 79.321,30).
