Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work 'The Old Warship', HMS Ganges by Charles Napier Hemy. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,057.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Napier Hemy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Riverside, Limehouse in April this year with an auction result of GBP 69,600.00 (€ 79,321.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'The Old Warship', HMS Ganges von Charles Napier Hemy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.792,00 (€ 2.057,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Napier Hemy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Riverside, Limehouse im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.600,00 (€ 79.321,30).
