In December 2012 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Conversation in an interior by Charles McCall. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,083.19), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles McCall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Housework, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,946.47).

Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Conversation in an interior von Charles McCall zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.083,19) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles McCall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Housework beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.946,47) versteigert wurde.
