Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work A Letter of Recommendation by Charles Louis Baugniet. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 33,071.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 35,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Louis Baugniet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blind Man's Buff in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 556,000.00 (€ 596,054.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Letter of Recommendation von Charles Louis Baugniet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 33.071,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 35.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Louis Baugniet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blind Man's Buff im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 556.000,00 (€ 596.054,89).
