Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Long could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Piet and Ida Sanders Collection auction, the work Monad C6 changed hands for EUR 812.50 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Long achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 3 to 1 in Groovy Green in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,061.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Long konnte im April 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Piet and Ida Sanders Collection wechselte die Arbeit Monad C6 für EUR 812,50 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Long erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 3 to 1 in Groovy Green im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.061,80).
