In May 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings and The Orientalist Sale, which included the work French Woman With Oranges by Charles Landelle. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 48,500.00 (€ 61,694.12), 62% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Landelle; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Algérienne jouant de la Darbouka sold at auction in October 2000 with the realized price of USD 76,375.00 (€ 90,001.18).

Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings and The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit French Woman With Oranges von Charles Landelle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 48.500,00 (€ 61.694,12) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Landelle; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Algérienne jouant de la Darbouka im Oktober 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 76.375,00 (€ 90.001,18).
