Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work French l'Orientale by Charles Landelle for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,363.57). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Charles Landelle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Algérienne jouant de la Darbouka in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 76,375.00 (€ 90,001.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit French l'Orientale von Charles Landelle für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.363,57) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Landelle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Algérienne jouant de la Darbouka im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 76.375,00 (€ 90.001,18).
