Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Christies in Paris held the auction Photographies, which included the work Carrot Long Red, c. 1900 by Charles Jones. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Morning Visit in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 16,730.00 (€ 24,041.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Carrot Long Red, c. 1900 von Charles Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Morning Visit im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.730,00 (€ 24.041,92).
