In May 2002 Christies in London held the auction OBJECTS OF VERTU AND PORTRAIT MINIATURES & FOB SEALS, which included the work A young gentleman believed to be Rev. Lee, seated facing right in brown coat and white cravat, his left hand resting on the Holy Bible; library interior (cracked) by Charles Hayter. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 552.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00.
