This artwork by Charles Harrington achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2003. In the BRITISH ART ON PAPER INCLUDING ORIGINAL BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS auction, the work A broken bank of the Mersey sold for GBP 411.25 (€ 537.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Harrington - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cley Church, Norfolk, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,920.82).

Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Harrington mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cley Church, Norfolk beobachtet, die im März 2002 für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.920,82) versteigert wurde.
