This artwork by Charles Harrington achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2003. In the BRITISH ART ON PAPER INCLUDING ORIGINAL BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS auction, the work A broken bank of the Mersey sold for GBP 411.25 (€ 537.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Harrington - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cley Church, Norfolk, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,920.82).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Harrington erzielte im Juli 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion BRITISH ART ON PAPER INCLUDING ORIGINAL BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS wurde die Arbeit A broken bank of the Mersey für GBP 411,25 (€ 537,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Harrington mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cley Church, Norfolk beobachtet, die im März 2002 für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.920,82) versteigert wurde.
