Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work Love Will Triumph by Charles Haigh-Wood. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 29,257.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Haigh-Wood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fair Deceivers, which sold at auction in October 2002 for USD 71,700.00 (€ 72,563.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Love Will Triumph von Charles Haigh-Wood zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 29.257,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Haigh-Wood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fair Deceivers beobachtet, die im Oktober 2002 für USD 71.700,00 (€ 72.563,51) versteigert wurde.
