Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Fréger could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Rikishi 5 changed hands for GBP 188.00 (€ 214.11) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Fréger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Water Polo Players in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,214.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Fréger konnte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Rikishi 5 für GBP 188,00 (€ 214,11) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Fréger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Water Polo Players im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.214,73).
