The work The Varley Tree, Georgian Bay by Charles Comfort was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2012. Here, the upper estimate of CAD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CAD 10,200.00 (€ 7,970.92). With this result, The Varley Tree, Georgian Bay is even the most expensive work of art by Charles Comfort that we have observed at auctions so far.
