Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ships In A Stormy Sea Off A Rocky Coast by Charles Francois Grenier de Lacroix was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,260.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Francois Grenier de Lacroix achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of A Mediterranean Seaport At Dusk, With Fishermen And Elegant Figures Gathered Along The Harbor As A Ship Pulls In in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 516,500.00 (€ 478,506.58).

Die Arbeit Ships In A Stormy Sea Off A Rocky Coast von Charles Francois Grenier de Lacroix kam im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion.
