Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishermen at Sunrise; A Storm by Charles Francois Grenier de Lacroix was sold in the Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021. The price achieved of EUR 81,900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Francois Grenier de Lacroix have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Of A Mediterranean Seaport At Dusk, With Fishermen And Elegant Figures Gathered Along The Harbor As A Ship Pulls In in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 516,500.00 (€ 478,506.58).
