Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Song and Dance of the Heart... by Charles Fazzino was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 318.75 (€ 299.18). Admittedly, works by Charles Fazzino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A penny saved is a penny earned in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 2,520.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Song and Dance of the Heart... von Charles Fazzino im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 318,75 (€ 299,18) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Fazzino auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A penny saved is a penny earned im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.520,00.
