Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Conversations at the waters edge by Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,591.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Alpine Village in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 28,680.00 (€ 29,025.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Conversations at the waters edge von Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.591,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Alpine Village im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.680,00 (€ 29.025,40).
