Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work An Alpine village by Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,735.65). This price was achieved in the auction Living with Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Alpine Village in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 28,680.00 (€ 29,025.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An Alpine village von Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.735,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Living with Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Alpine Village im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.680,00 (€ 29.025,40).
