Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boats By The Shore by Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in January 2015. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,660.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Alpine Village in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 28,680.00 (€ 29,025.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boats By The Shore von Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg wurde im Januar 2015 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.660,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Alpine Village im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.680,00 (€ 29.025,40).
