The price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 653.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Ernest Butler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British Death Of A Viking Warrior in April 2009 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,752.94).
