Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Lecture Dans Un Parc by Charles Émile Auguste Durand was sold in the Old Master & XIXth Century Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in November 2020. It changed hands for a price of EUR 5,850.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Émile Auguste Durand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Portrait Of Henri Fantin-Latour in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 215,000.00 (€ 172,857.37).
