In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Madame Lafourcade née Cortira à la Havane by Charles Émile Auguste Durand. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,451.45), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Émile Auguste Durand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Portrait Of Henri Fantin-Latour in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 215,000.00 (€ 172,857.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madame Lafourcade née Cortira à la Havane von Charles Émile Auguste Durand zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.451,45) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Émile Auguste Durand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Portrait Of Henri Fantin-Latour im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 215.000,00 (€ 172.857,37).
