In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work Walking Home, An Afternoon In A Japanese Village by Charles Edwin Fripp. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 840.00 (€ 1,203.57), 40% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Edwin Fripp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A woman standing beside a temple, Kandy, Ceylon, which sold at auction in September 2001 for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,553.10).

Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Walking Home, An Afternoon In A Japanese Village von Charles Edwin Fripp zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.203,57) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Edwin Fripp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A woman standing beside a temple, Kandy, Ceylon beobachtet, die im September 2001 für GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.553,10) versteigert wurde.
