A top price for Charles Edward Holloway - as previously expected
The work On the Wandle by Charles Edward Holloway was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2005. The price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,232.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, On the Wandle is the most expensive artwork by Charles Edward Holloway that we have observed at auctions so far.
