Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work "Dr Manette And Lucie With Charles Darnay" by Charles Edmund Brock for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,083.19). This price was achieved in the auction The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Charles Edmund Brock have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2012 by the work "Mr Bumble Walked On With Long Strides...
