This artwork by Charles Despiau achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2014. In the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work Female Nude Laying On Her Back, Resting Her Head On Her Arms sold for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,632.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Despiau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Printemps. 1923. in December 2007 with an auction result of CHF 108,000.00 (€ 65,274.81).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Despiau erzielte im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit Female Nude Laying On Her Back, Resting Her Head On Her Arms für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.632,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Despiau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Printemps. 1923. im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 108.000,00 (€ 65.274,81).
