Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Natively Digital 1.3: Generative Art, which included the work The Face of Change by Charles Csuri. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,280.00 (€ 33,482.02), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Csuri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sine Curve Man, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 81,900.00 (€ 77,726.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Natively Digital 1.3: Generative Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Face of Change von Charles Csuri zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 33.482,02) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Csuri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sine Curve Man beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 81.900,00 (€ 77.726,11) versteigert wurde.
