Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work A crow; together with a Mallard drake by Charles Collins for GBP 1,008.00 (€ 1,185.82). This price was achieved in the auction STYLE London: Furniture, Clocks, Silver, Ceramics & Works of Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Collins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ornamental Birds In A Landscape, A Set Of Three in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 89,150.00 (€ 137,894.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A crow; together with a Mallard drake von Charles Collins für GBP 1.008,00 (€ 1.185,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion STYLE London: Furniture, Clocks, Silver, Ceramics & Works of Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Collins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ornamental Birds In A Landscape, A Set Of Three im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 89.150,00 (€ 137.894,86).
