Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction Irish and 20th Century British Art, which included the work Still life by Charles Brady. The price achieved of GBP 3,824.00 (€ 5,737.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Brady have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Envelope in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,785.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Irish and 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life von Charles Brady zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.824,00 (€ 5.737,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Brady auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Envelope im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 31.785,86).
