Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Playing, Dreaming, 1964 by Charles Blackman was auctioned at Bonhams in Sidney in May last year. It changed hands for a price of AUD 11,070.00 (€ 10,315.91) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Blackman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alice Amongst Flowers in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 356,500.00 (€ 484,423.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Playing, Dreaming, 1964 von Charles Blackman kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sidney zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 11.070,00 (€ 10.315,91) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Blackman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alice Amongst Flowers im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 356.500,00 (€ 484.423,03).
