Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mother and Child, c.1958 by Charles Blackman was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney in November this year. The price achieved of AUD 30,750.00 (€ 18,645.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Blackman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alice Amongst Flowers in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 356,500.00 (€ 484,423.03).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 30.750,00 (€ 18.645,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden.
