Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Trotting To The Meet, The Snow Falling by Charles Bilger Spalding was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 264.00 (€ 382.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Bilger Spalding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Group Portrait of Augustus Cranley Onslow, Master of The Hampshire Hunt Hounds, N. Cox, Huntsman And George Cox., Whipper In, With Horses And Hounds, Upton House, Alresford, Hampshire, Beyond in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,341.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Trotting To The Meet, The Snow Falling von Charles Bilger Spalding im Juni 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 264,00 (€ 382,00) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Bilger Spalding erzielen.
