Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Abandoned Road by Charles A. Fries was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. It achieved a price of USD 7,012.50 (€ 5,942.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Charles A. Fries have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eucalyptus Grove - Balboa Park before the Exposition in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 29,062.50 (€ 25,748.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Abandoned Road von Charles A. Fries wurde im August 2021 in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 7.012,50 (€ 5.942,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles A. Fries auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eucalyptus Grove - Balboa Park before the Exposition im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.062,50 (€ 25.748,65).
