Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Coronado by Charles A. Fries. The price achieved of USD 3,584.00 (€ 3,306.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles A. Fries have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eucalyptus Grove - Balboa Park before the Exposition in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 29,062.50 (€ 25,748.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coronado von Charles A. Fries zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.584,00 (€ 3.306,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles A. Fries auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eucalyptus Grove - Balboa Park before the Exposition im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.062,50 (€ 25.748,65).
