This artwork by Charles A. Fries achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November 2021. In the California Art auction, the work Roses in Basin sold for USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,601.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles A. Fries - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eucalyptus Grove - Balboa Park before the Exposition, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 29,062.50 (€ 25,748.65).

In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Roses in Basin für USD 10.837,50 (€ 9.601,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles A. Fries mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eucalyptus Grove - Balboa Park before the Exposition beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 29.062,50 (€ 25.748,65) versteigert wurde.
