In the California Art auction, the work Cabin in the Mountains (A California Home) sold for USD 11,475.00 (€ 11,115.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles A. Fries - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eucalyptus Grove - Balboa Park before the Exposition, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 29,062.50 (€ 25,748.65).
