Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction British & Continental Watercolours & Drawings, which included the work The Gardens At Hampton Court Palace by Charles Albert Brindley. The price achieved of GBP 687.50 (€ 934.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Other works by Charles Albert Brindley have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2001 the work Kingston brewery and bridge, Surrey was auctioned for GBP 1,116.25 (€ 1,823.80).
