Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
When the work Parrotzilla; Team (Set Of Two Pieces) (Painted In 2020) by Chang Teng-Yuan was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 15,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at HKD 70,800.00 (€ 7,580.25). Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chang Teng-Yuan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Birth Of Parrot Venus (Painted In 2021) sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 12,013.50).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Parrotzilla; Team (Set Of Two Pieces) (Painted In 2020) von Chang Teng-Yuan im April 2021 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 15.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 70.800,00 (€ 7.580,25) mehr als viermal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chang Teng-Yuan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Birth Of Parrot Venus (Painted In 2021) im Oktober 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 12.013,50).
