Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peach Blossoms in Spring by Chan Tin Boo was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 50,400.00 (€ 6,039.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chan Tin Boo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mount Huang - West Sea Grand Canyon No. 3, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,947.27).
