Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart I, which included the work L'Amour en noir fleuri by Shafic Abboud. The price achieved of USD 122,500.00 (€ 87,832.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shafic Abboud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Villa des Iris in November this year with an auction result of GBP 381,400.00 (€ 441,959.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart I durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Amour en noir fleuri von Shafic Abboud zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 87.832,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shafic Abboud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Villa des Iris im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 381.400,00 (€ 441.959,66).
