Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale), which included the work Sound by Cha Myung Hi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 9,847.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Cha Myung Hi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2008 the work Imagine & Gaze was auctioned for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 12,743.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sound von Cha Myung Hi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 9.847,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Cha Myung Hi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2008 die Arbeit Imagine & Gaze für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 12.743,37) versteigert.
