A top price for Cha Myung Hi - as previously expected
The work Imagine & Gaze by Cha Myung Hi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. The price achieved of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 12,743.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Imagine & Gaze is the most expensive artwork by Cha Myung Hi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Imagine & Gaze von Cha Myung Hi kam im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 12.743,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Imagine & Gaze das teuerste Kunstwerk von Cha Myung Hi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
