Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Beach at Spotorno by Cesare Maggi was auctioned at Il Ponte in March 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,200.00 – 3,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cesare Maggi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alta Montagna in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 99,150.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Beach at Spotorno von Cesare Maggi im März 2013 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.200,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.000,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cesare Maggi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alta Montagna im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 99.150,00.
